Call of Duty: World at War (CoD5)

Harr!

Call of Duty: World at War Beta is out and that means: A new blog! Tadam! So yea, I got myself a beta key for cod5 and was so excited to play as I was so addicted to cod4 and they said cod5 was going to have the same ‘feeling’ as cod4 had.

So when I got it downloaded and installed, I started playing but for some reason I couldn’t find the same server as a mate of my was on so I had to play all alone without friends . I know, I’m very sad now! Anyhow… The game looks a lot like cod4, in the menu and loading and all that shit. They generally left it all the same, so I could find my way around it and optimized the settings.

When I was in a server, I must say it did look good. Nice graphics and it did have the same feeling ! So I played and played and played and noticed that sometimes when I hit someone 100% sure the client says I missed! Now WTF is that. That pisses me off so damn much. And it happens so damn often for me! That sucks a lot. 1 reason why I would not buy the game, unless they fix it.

Now the overall game is good, though I liked cod4 because it was different and I don’t like it that they went back to WW2. Other than that, a nice addition is the dogs. They are very good and they surely were a good idea!

So after playing it for a few days now, I must say I’m not that ‘wow-ed’ by it as I thought I’d be. The game is nice, but I think it’s just a pimped cod4 in WW2 and as I’ve been addicted to cod4 a long time that was getting boring.

So let’s wrap it up.. My opinion is that it’s not a bad game, but more just a pimped cod4 and I get it because I’m getting bored of cod4 and I think I’d get bored really quick with cod5 because of that.

So for me it’s CSS again for now!

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (PC)

Howdy.

I got Guitar Hero: Aerosmith a few hours ago for my PC and was hoping I could start rocking again like on the PS2 when I had Guitar Hero 2.

So after downloading it, it seemed that RELOADED release had a broken part 11. So stress stress and then got the PAR2 files to fix it. Yay, it worked.. That’s what I thought. I hoped I could be rocking, but now I’m about to delete it again! Shitty game! Not meant to be for the PC!

When I started playing it gave me the controls. THEY SUCK! Why would I want to use vcxz and LEFT SHIFT? The shift button is a lot harder to press! Ok, it’s not too bad and you can play Easy and Medium without using the orange button (left shift). So now I started playing on easy and it went not that bad. After getting the hang of the controls I passed the songs with just a few misses. Now why these misses? I had no idea..

But not a lot long later I started playing medium and I noticed that when I pressed my buttons, it like.. processed it later on the screen! That’s why I’m missing easy shit! I just smashed my button hard on beat to test it, and just missed some because the program reacts too slow! Damn PC! That’s why these games are meant to be on the damn consoles..

So that was my message about GH: Aerosmith. Just don’t buy it, it sucks. Get it for the console instead and then you can rock on!

Finally played Portal, how embarrassing?

Hello all!

So I’ve finally downloaded The Orange Box so I could play Portal (and Team Fortress 2). I know… Very late. Though I just still wanted to try it out, because I saw and heard all the quotes flying around on the internet and just had no idea what they meant..

So I’ve been playing it all night, and I can finally say what a great game it is. I really like the idea of it and that you have to use the learned techniques to ‘break out’. I’m now in the room with that ‘thing’ speaking all the time and can’t beat it.. Damnit! I can’t get that last ‘ball’-thing out of the air which is just floating there.. I’ll keep on trying though, I just want to finish it!

Also the game itself is very nice and actually better than I expected. The game-play was very nice and the controls were easy so it’s not hard to get into the game. I actually think I did some levels wrong, but I got through them (lol). At the last stage, I was like.. No way! I went into this room and then this “action music” started to play and those attack-things just were everywhere! After like an half an hour I finally found out how to ‘kill’ them and get further.

Just a great game and can’t believe I’ve waited so long to play this!

Oh, and I was really laughing when I heard this quote (lol):

“We had lots of fun. Remember when I said goodbye in the flame pit and you were like: NO WAY!“

"Xikeon strikes again"

Hello all!

Remember how I mentioned here that I was going to blog further? I actually managed to do it for a whole week! Yes! From 26-12-07 till 1-1-08.

So, once again Xikeon is going to try to set up a blog again with amazingly boring stories and crap you don’t care about. Isn’t that amazing? Well, I guess not.

Anyway, let’s start talking about my latest project to actually make this blog a little bit worthy.

Since about a month ago I started working on an Anime / Manga community named Anime n Manga. I decided to go with IPB and try to make a nice community. It’s all coming along nicely and I think we’re about to launch soon. The domain is ready, set up with a temporary host till I get my new server ready with a friend in a couple of months. I nearly got enough money together to buy the IPB license and I got a little base of members as well on my test location!

So this was it! Now let’s hope I keep blogging for a longer time now.. I actually put this on my ‘task-list’ in my sidebar so I won’t forget about it.

Project T-Bull: Complete new system!

Hey!

As I said in my previous blog Project T-Bull would be based on WordPressed and be modified. So I’ve been looking at the source, and I must say.. IT SUCKS! It’s the worst system I’ve ever seen, I couldn’t figure anything out.. Everything was here and there.. So I’m not even going to TRY and make something for it.

So what I’m going to do is, make a completely new system which looks alot as WordPress (in the way it works). So it’s easy to use if you’re used to WordPress, but it’s got better coding (IMO) and then I can add anything I want

Project T-Bull: Development started

Heya!

So as stated in my previous blog I was thinking about a project with Smangii. So we, and later on I, have been thinking and we came up with an idea. Now I’ve been asking around for a good project name and everything, because yea.. a project needs a cool name! =D So then Kevin (Gin) came with the name Project T-Bull! I am liking it, so using it.

So what is this Project T-Bull? Well, it’s not the most original idea, but I think it might get some people seeing as it wel get features other sites with the system don’t have. So what I’m going to do is add extra features to WordPress, such as customizable layout and such. That way you got more power over your blog. Seeing as WordPress.com only has some standard lays installed, and you can only edit CSS then.. That is annoying so why not make it so people can add their own layout code to the admin?

Hello!

This is my 4th blog in 24 hours, so that must mean I’m really bored. I was hanging around checking my email every 10 minutes, checking who was on msn.. And then the ‘routine’ starts again. Life’s so boring.. Something new should come, which I could do heh..

In the meanwhile I’ve been thinking and chatting to our big friend Smangii! I’m thinking of starting a community and Smangii is telling me each step to take. Yea, I’m so damn noobish I need it =D But I’m not far yet, there’s a long road ahead!

Windows Live Writer

I installed this program called ‘Windows Live Writer’. It should make it easier to post stuff to your weblog with styling, uploading images and w/e else. So I gotta try this out. It seems ok, writing this message in it now.

Too bad that shortcuts such as Ctrl + S don’t auto publish it. * goes to menu* .. Aha, it’s Ctrl + Shift + P.. Stupid shortcut xD I prefer 2 buttons.. O well.
